Other then the game being a tad bit easier? No, I currently have a level 42 char who still hasn't even beaten the Bell Gargoyles yet.

EDIT: Okay I kinda take that back. Too high of a level will make it almost impossible to find summons to help with boss fights but outside of that there really isn't anything I can think of.
Take this post seriously at your own risk.

Doesn't NG+ scale with your current level? Besides that, there ain't no repercussions

NG+ only scales with the number of +s, up to 7. Nothing to do with your level. As long as you have the necessary skill to handle the game's difficulty solo (since phantoms will become increasingly rare) there is no downside at all. And you'll still get invaded, because invaders don't have an upper level limit.
Where's my "Accept This Moderation with Extreme Reluctance and Resentful Glares" button?
When reading and responding to my posts, try to take it easy.

The sweet spot is for both coop and pvp. If you're not interested in either knock yourself out. Even if you mass overlevel and decide you want to pvp you can still find action as a forest host or sometimes as a DM. You'll give a good payout too ^^

I don't think that ng+ has anything to do with soul level. I'm pretty sure its fixed.

Ah, I forgot about Coop, but that's not totally necessary for me either. Thanks for the responses.

I have a character SL 40 who already has lordvessel its ok over level your current character if yoou want more challenging play because this game don't have hard and very hard finish it on low level
level 20 - 40 = Hard
level 2 - 19 = Very Hard
level 1 = you win

PvE doesn't get much easier just because you go beyond the standard PvP range.

I'm not looking to power level because I'm having trouble, I just want to be able to play with all the major builds on one character instead of just pumping one main stat. It's gonna take a long time but it's something to reach for.
