Yeah, I had a feeling that might be the case, hence my earlier suggestion about asking for it as a gift. By the sound of it, that's out. Well, the price of such systems falls over time. Maybe, later on, it'll be more affordable.

I certainly think so. First of all, there's a, *ahem*, certain option with Awakening. I won't go into details, but it makes this particular game more forgiving than its predecessors. There's also quite a bit of DLC.
Forgiving? How sad.

The same for DLC. I want to buy a game, not a fragment of a game.

The DLC is more like extra chapters. They allow you to acquire rare weapons and bonus characters.
They should be included on the disc. And not paid-unlocks on the disc, either. (Ò_Ó)
