What's the best places to rob before I finish the quest and turn in the key? Just looking for a few jobs for big payouts.

It's really pretty worthless to be honest, you can always find hundreds of lockpicks around. If you are set on it though, I guess I'd suggest any of the Jarl's palaces. There is also a ton of dwarven items locked up in display cases in Calcelmo's dwarven ruin in Markarth.

what level do you have to be and how many perks do you have to put into the lockpicking to get that perk?
You can't persuade fanboys. You'd be better off trying to convince a wall. ~CodeNamePlasmaSnake~

Not if you're role playing a thief.

I did see that but my lock picking skill is only at 61. What's a good area to lvl it up?

For what?

Everything in this tree is either borderline useless or easily replaceable.

its still horrible even if you are RPing a thief. i can pick Expert locks manually (with no perks) using 5ish picks. Master locks i usually dont bother with, but i have picked a few manually using 15ish picks.

lockpicks are so abundant in this game it makes the perks almost useless.
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY TOPIC???__carwreck__
