I want to get inf charges on a weapon with chaos dmg.

I believe Destruction. Alternately you can use Extra Effect. As long as you have a high skill in the more powerful enchantment you can reduce charge uses. IE if your paralyze effect is more powerful than the Chaos effect (you can tell when the enchantment changes colors), then Alteration skill will reduce charge cost.

But it has a purple color enchant... Would that still be destruction?

I'm pretty sure it's Destruction.

UESP lists it as Destruction. Now, admittedly, Auriel's Bow is Restoration and you can't get 100% reduction on it, but it's generally accepted that's a glitch, or at least an exception to the rule.
