So after finishing my manor in Hearthfire I picked up all the junk I didn't want laying around like random food, bottles, jugs, etc. Did a couple quests and when I came back it was all back again. Am I forced to live in this cluttered home?

if you visit it every 10 days it will prevent it from respawning. if you also want to prevent respawning in the basements you have to enter them too since that's a separate cell. I do it all the time now and its no problem (about the only time I fast travel).
