1- Swings about the same speed as most 1h swords? So significantly fast than average 2h sword?

2- Affected by fortify 1h enchantments- meaning i can make it as strong as i want without smithing.

Correct?

I found it less useful as you power it up through enchantments. The beauty of this blade is the absorb health function; by increasing the damage output you minimize the potential health gain per enemy.

Another lil' bit of info, iirc the striking range of the ebony blade is the same as a one hander despite the appearance of the length of the blade.
