Thinking about buying the vita, but just wondering if you can play old ps1, ps2 and psp games on it. I think that will be a major factor towards me purchasing it.

PS1- Not yet but watch for an update...
PS2- no promises made.
PSP- PSN PSP games.
Nothing is sweeter than watching an enemy's revenge backfire on them.

PS1 - Sort of, if you have a PS3 yes. The PSV will be able to play PSX titles stand alone in the near future.

PS2 - Not yet, maybe not ever. Just wait.

PSP - If it's on PSN,

The psp was able to play ps1 games before sony released the firmware update enabling psx, so psx will be almost guaranteed by sony or hackers.

I sincerely believe ps2 emulation will be do-able on the vita. Just give it time.

PSP games have been noted to be playable, but not all. Probably all games after a little time as well, including umd only games.

Basically patience is key.
