The only way it could have bricked your vita is if it was your fault. It specifically says to not update the firmware while the battery is low for a reason.

Your welcome. I'd also like to state that my tip is 100% true. It won't brick for no reason at all, especially when not a single other person has had this problem with 1.8.

Mabey it was a one in a million chance.

Being an imported vita owner myself (imported a 3g hk modle)

i can only imigine how Tc feels.

if it happened to me yeah i know Sony won't honour the vita or repair it,But at least they should try to trouble shoot with Tc and then tell him/her that they can't repair it due to policy nicely.


when it comes to customer service people remember the extra steps a staff takes.
