The future for both is pretty uncertain, but interest among gamers in the Wii U is a lot higher. That plus its BC features make it a purchase for me.

A Nintendo product has a uncertain future?
are you high?

Keep your pre-order and get the Wii U... list it on eBay for double what it's worth like most people will be doing.. get your $600-$700.. buy a Wii U and a Vita.

In all fairness the Wii sucked in 3rd party support. The gap in hardware specs often left devs either making a gimped version or the game that was PS2/handheld quality or just not given a version at all. I can see why some people would be concerned about that.

Also the fact that it took them this long to make a console on par with the 360 and PS3. Sony and Mircosoft (well at least MS depending on Sony's financial future) already have their next gen systems line up that will over power the Wii U and will put devs right back in that rut having to make a gimped Wii U version.
A word to the wise ain't necessary - it's the stupid ones that need the advice

I can't even list out a single AAA game on Wii. Wii U so called 3rd party games are also on PS3 and 360, Wii U has yet to have any great exclusive to offer. It's easily going to flop so bad.

It's gonna flop so bad all the pre-orders are sold out and it will sell more than Vita in it's first three months. Don't forget it's launching with Mario and a Monster Hunter game ( in Japan ).

The Wii U has already outsold the Vita in the US in preorders alone. That's right, a system not even out yet is already outselling the vita.

Lol @ it being a flop.

Fanboys are a cancer to gaming but Sony fanboys are a particularly aggressive and repulsive form.

If the Wii U is anything like the Wii, Sales will decrease after a year then pick up if there is another "Homebrew Chanel" then die out to the simple fact of lacking good games.
