The new Vita bundle is retailing for $299.99, it comes with:
3G/Wifi Vita (MSRP 299.99)
4GB memory card (MSRP 19.99)
Unit 13 voucher (26.99 on the PS store)
PS+ 1 year voucher (50.00 MSRP)
-----------------------------------
Total MSRP: $396.97

So that's a "savings" of $96.98, and yet Sony somehow feels that it's OK to advertise it as over $99 in savings.

Sony is trying to rip everyone off for $2.03, you've blown this conspiracy wide open.

Yeah, it's just stupid marketing pricing. Whatever a price is, make it look good, usually rounding it up and remove $.01

Prove its a lie. As has been calculated by the TC's *flawless* math the saving is already $96.98 and thats entering the figures as *he* decided.

What? Lying is the basis of most modern day marketing campaigns.

No, lying can get companies sued for gross misrepresentation of their products. Advertising is about making people think they're talking about something that they're not, about saying something they're not saying. If a company makes a direct claim that is patently provably false, they can and do get in trouble for it. That's why you don't find advertisements in the media that are straight facts that are wrong, but are merely misleading.

There's a pretty big difference between marketing spin, and saying something that is objectively false.

How do you consider this "objectively false" when you used subjective mathematics to come to that conclusion?
That makes no sense TC. Do you even know what "objectivity" is?
