Just wondering...does it get better from there? Why is it supposed to be good?

I liked what I played from the demo but I didn't finish it. The puzzle was longer than I thought it would be and I was getting inpatient because I wanted to play something else so I'm also curious
Currently Playing: PlayStation All-Stars(PSV), Assassin's Creed Liberation(PSV), Ragnarok Odyssey(PSV), New Little King Story(PSV) & Growlanser WoT(PSP)

Nope. My friend has it and he says the things that are bad in the demo get worse from then on.

Have you played 999 for the DS? It makes small references, and the true ending better I hear (haven't opened mine due to work, and vita backlog).

For me 999 was about the visual novel. Puzzles being an obstacle. emulate 999...
Playing: Halo 4; Ragnarok Odyssey; PSASBR (I'm bad)

I don't see how this is possible in any way. The puzzles get more challenging, and the script, which at times make little sense in the demo, makes perfect sense in the actual game.

The game is like the demo, just more of it + story. You may like the story, but you will have to play the puzzles.

What makes the game great is the story and how the different endings weave together. I'm going to have to answer "maybe" because you might find the story interesting eventually and then the game will grab you.

What you should do though is get 999 for the DS first and try it out to see if you like it. It's cheaper and there are some references that you won't get if you play Virtue's Last Reward first. It isn't essential that you play 999 first but I think you should.

IMO, the demo isn't really a good representation of VLR as a whole. The story is amazing, and half an hour of the demo does not show it AT ALL. When it comes to the gameplay, it really depends if you like puzzles of not. The story is the main driving force though, and there are so many twists and WTF moments that I guarantee your pants will not be dry by the end of the experience.
