Honestly I could only think of 3 hardware changes:
1) HDMI out. (The current model already has a port on top. IDK if it could have the same purpose.)
2) Better speakers (Users here on Gamefaqs have a problem with their placement but I don't have a problem with them.)
3) Make it feel better in the hands. (For some games it can get uncomfortable.)

The vita is fine how it is.

So if there is a revision, it'll have twice the RAM and VRAM, right?

This wouldnt be necessary at all. The current Vita has plenty of RAM for a handheld (512).

Why do people want a revision so bad and this early? Especially revisions that would make production costs even higher, which defeats the whole purpose of a revision.

I see them releasing more colors and special bundles, that's all for this year. I don't think much needs changed except add 4gb storage built in, that way they have enough storage for saves and let the user decide if they want to pay the premium price for more storage.

I wish Sony hired you instead of the knobs we got.

The Vita has plenty of RAM while it was an issue for the PSP. You won't see more RAM in a revision methinks.

TV-out, 4G functionality, possibly extended battery life and some minor changes is all you're likely to get. Or you will get an inferior cheaper model because Sony wants to reduce the manufacturing costs.
