To people that insinuate that it doesn't have any worthwhile games, I'm willing to offer recommendations. There's bound to be at least on game that you'll like.
The sheer amount of genres with absolutely no representation on the 3DS (pretty much the majority of games which are popular in the West) make it so that the bolded can be justifiably incorrect. To my friends who love sports games, first person shooters, third person shooters, sim racers, WRPG's or other genres, they have almost no reason to buy a 3DS.
People really need to stop pretending the 3DS has a wide appeal. It may one day, but outside of weaboo circles, it doesn't. It has a long way to go.
Over the VITA, I think it does.. and it seems to be shown by the market as well.
Vita is irrelevant to what I posted. You can dislike 3DS offerings and still have a fairly decent gaming pallet, as it does not have representation in many, many genres which are very popular in most areas of the world.
Whether it has better genre representation than Vita is a whole other story.
Considering the thread and board you're posting in, vita is relevant to the points being made, otherwise you do make perfectly valid points. Even so, handhelds attract a different type of gamer and that type usually aren't into sports, shooters, or Sim racers...although vita does have quite a few in these genres so maybe we'll see this change soon
I agree.. what he said does make sense.
While I sadly don't think it'll change anytime soon (may get more new stuff but ultimately just keep the sales trend the same).. I still hope it does so..
