Did you buy a Vita because Playstation Plus gave you a backlog of Vita games?

I bought it for remote play and to play my indie PSN games... I already had a few cross buy games on my PS3. Can't wait for Rogue Legacy.
One common thread Ive noticed in a lot of fan communities both online and off is a lack of anything approaching critical thought, - Stephen Bond

That and P4G, yes, I was getting it anyway, but when the first batch of PS+ freebies got released I just went out to get it.

No, I got my Vita at launch, about 8 and a half months before PS+. Also, almost none of the PS+ free games are anything I want to play. Uncharted may be great, it's just not my type of game... that or I had already bought their free offerings (Soul Sacrifice upcoming, BlazeBlue). I did enjoy Gravity Rush. I have the cart sitting right here.

Nah, I bought my Vita shortly after launch. I'm not subscribed to PS+ actually.

I got PS+ because of the Vita. I got swamped with games on both it and the PS3. PS4 largely forces you to get it anyway.

I kind of wanted a Vita to be able to play LBPV and Tearaway, but obviously that wasn't enough to justify the purchase. However, after becoming a PS+ member in February, I started to accumulate a nice back catalog of vita-ready games. It got to a point where I was seriously considering getting one. Like many people, though, the combined price of the system and a decently sized (16+ GB) memory card was a major turn off (this being before the price drops).

I started checking out the used listings every day, with the two requirements that it had to have at least a 16GB card, and it had to be a price where I wouldn't feel too bad if the price were to drop (which was to be expected with E3 right around the corner). After a few weeks I found a deal that was $150 for:

- Vita with 0 issues/scratches
- 16GB card
- 4 games (Rayman Origins, Madden, Virtua Tennis, CoD: Declassified)
- Hard case
- Receipt for warranty purposes through to next year.

Haven't looked back since.
