Copies of a cross save/cross play title in order to have my save files converted? For example if I had One Piece for my Vita but for whatever reason want to have my save file converted into a PS3 save file, would I need the PS3 copy in order to actually convert it?

I think so otherwise how would you play it? Or maybe there is a standard save system all the cross-save games use. i don't know just guessing.
Are you living or just breathing to death ?

Yes.Cross save is done in-game and can only be transferred through the game.

a lot of Sony's games are cross-buy, which I think is great, other publishers are more greedy and don't offer this option
