The only game I'd be interested in from the ones listed is Sonic Mania, which isn't a AAA game.

You realize that most developers have pretty much moved on to the Switch, right?

No, they've moved on to the PS4 and PC. So far, most developers have just been tossing the Switch scraps in the form of ports of very old games.

Personally I don't think ANY developers gave this thing a chance, looking at the pretty terrible range of games on it (NOT ALL mind you, but most, WHICH MAKE UP THE MAJORITY of the library).

Uh huh. No. The Vita does not have a "terrible" range of games. Although it's true that the vast majority of the library of ANY console throughout the entire history of video games is not worth buying.

I would argue that the crap vs. quality ratio is better on the Vita than with most systems. Such is almost always the case with niche systems that don't see mainstream success but are loved by a dedicated base. It's the hugely successful systems that are inundated with disposable sports games and licensed shovelware dreck and so on. Niche systems aren't profitable enough to make releasing all those junky games worthwhile, and publishers know that the supporters of niche systems are savvy about games. With the mainstream systems, they know that even if their game is garbage and gets terrible reviews, parents and grandparents will still buy them because little Jimmy likes so-and-so sport or so-and-so cartoon. Of course, mainstream systems still tend to win in sheer numbers, so if you wade past all the junk, you can still probably find a greater number of good games than on the niche systems. But there is something appealing about looking through a system's library and seeing little in the way of chaff.

That's especially true with past Nintendo with the poor neglected Wii U possibly being the only exception. For every great triple A game you get 20 shovelware titles.

I'm happy with just about every game I bought for the Vita aside from Ben 10 Galactic Racing, and Supremacy MMA. The only reason I even bought them was "OMG the rarez!!!". I am surprised we got so many Farming Simulator games though.

Anyway the Vita doesn't need AAA games now

Triple A games, what idiot would invest that much money into the Vita.

Devs needs money, they don't want to hemorrhage their funds.

Better to ask for more Indie games and Japanese Vita games for localization.

Sonic Mania on PS Vita would have been nice though.
