I know the ps4 version has better graphics and more content but the Vita version is cheaper and will go nicely with the other Vita/Psp Ys games.

What do you think? Should I pay a little more and get the ps4 version or will the Vita version be fine?
I like games and anime. My favorite games include the following: Mother 1-3, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Cross, Zelda LA-ALttP-OoT-MM-ALBW, and Super Smash Bros.

If you don't care about the Dana quests, the new dungeon & the few new NPC characters, then go ahead & get the Vita version.

I have it pre-ordered for the Vita because I prefer playing portables.

Are those other YS games physical? Eventually they are going to stop making games for the Vita so you'll have to move on eventually. Might as well start with the version with more features.

The Vita version is a decent port considering the scope of the game. However the ps4 version has extras like backstory on one of the main characters, 2 extra attack modes for that character and extra dungeons. So it boils down to whether or not you prefer portability or the extra content. I personally am planning to pick up the Vita version since I prefer portability and will later pick up either the ps4 version or the steam version on a sale (whichever one goes cheaper fast).

This board will likely die soon, you will need to move on eventually, why not move on now.

If you want the Vita version, get the Vita version. It's the original version of the game and is complete enough on its own. You don't have to get it on PS4 if you don't want to. Even without the extra PS4 content, Vita version still lasts a good 30-40 hours on its own. There's plenty of game to play through.

Get the version you want and don't worry about whether it's the "definitive" version of the game or not.
