Relevant games and shovelware are two different things. Quite a few dead systems still get shovelware for years after it's replaced since it's cheap s*** that can be downported for a few extra sales. While 3DS has real games like Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Dragon Quest 11 still coming out.

The 3DS hasn't been abandoned by it's creator. The Vita has. As such, it's a dead platform. A lot of systems still get games after their deaths, this isn't exactly new.

You missing the part where the Vita is still in production? That ain't dead, kid.

Hurr 3DS has less games than teh Vita so that means barely supported

I mean, even if we did use the troll logic, the main reason they say Vita is dead is because no western presence and Sony abandoning it.

According to wiki 1193 games are on the 3DS, vs the Vita's 1484.

That number is still pretty close. I don't like the..."real game" argument but Idea Factory alone ported like 50 PSP VNs to the Vita in the last year.

If you go though the list and filter out direct ports like Otomate games from PSP to Vita and indies from both systems 20 bucks says the DS ends up with more games.

It was a joke but her comment was still iffy

I wouldnt call the Vita barely supported, take away the indie titles and the 3DS has more really games by real developers. Not VN ports and Indies

3ds actually have worse third party support, because the system can't run any port of current gen games day one, so i got a ton of low efort games and exclusive low, medium budget games, these end being really profitable, Vita for other side have struggled getting ports of this current gen, but for a long time it did decent.

lol console games ported over to the vita run like garbage. I much rather play 3DS games as all of them are well optimized for the system and run buttery smooth.

very few games have a stable framerate on this thing.

if it has a PS4 counter-part rest assured it will run like sh*t on the Vita.

3DS and Switch severely outclasses this thing on all aspects anyway. why anyone will play and invest in a Vita in 2017 is beyond me.

its like one of the worst gaming investment you can make. no support from Sony. crap/weeb 3rd party games. delusional fanbase.

When was the last time Sony acknowledged it?

Gad is in total denial and nothing will change that. In his bubble, there's absolutely nothing wrong with how the Vita is doing and how Sony is supporting it. He also is suspiciously bitter towards both the 3DS and the Switch. Hmmm...

It's a common viewpoint that the Vita is dead and is barely supported, and yet it has more releases than the 3DS. So if the Vita isn't well-supported, then neither is the 3DS. There's no arguing cold, hard numbers, whether or not you want to pull some biased, trollish nonsense to rule out games because they aren't "real games", which would also rule out a significant portion of the 3DS library. Unlike a lot of fanboys around here, I have no system loyalty, and I have nothing to gain by making any system look good or bad. I'm posting facts, pure and simple.

The 3DS hasn't been abandoned by it's creator. The Vita has. As such, it's a dead platform. A lot of systems still get games after their deaths, this isn't exactly new.

*facepalm*
Some people don't even understand what a dead gaming platform is? This is just sad.

Out of 200+ Vita games I've played, the only one with annoying frame rate issues is Atelier Ayesha. Simple animated character on a prerendered backdrop, not even an action game

OTOH, Earth Defense Force 2 is amazing, hundreds of enemies and explosions onscreen without noticeable slowdown.

Lol, thats absolute BS EDF2 can run like absolute crap on many mission's especially on the higher difficulties. Stop being a mindless sheep my god, sony, nor does the company who made the game pay's you to lie, for them.

I like the vita, and it does have laggy ass game;s, I was just playing crypt of the necrodancer, 2d indie game and started to lag when there was a lot of enemies, gold, items on the floor. Messed up my damn rhythm. Basically any game that wasn't made with the vita in mind has lagg issues ( and even than a lot of those crappy anime games still do) the people with tunnel vision on this board is hilarious.
Video Games are fun.
