Usually playboys suffer from intimacy problems it is why they are playboys they can't commit. I'd say no though he was truly in love with Christina he gave her up for his cause but he did right by her (arguably) and later in life he found Sofia (don't remember how that turned out replaying R now)

If you know his past with Christina Vespucci (explained fully in brotherhood and the novel of AC2 then you can see that she was the only woman he ever loved and took years (he was 50 when he met Sophia) before he could truely romantically love again
