Why would the Brits be offended over this game, when it's the Americans that do the really horrible deeds?

Im british and I dont care. It portrays americans just as bad too be honest. I mean essentially both sides are fighting over independance on land which isnt even theirs. Was a pretty crappy thing to do just go and claim someone elses land when it isnt theirs to begin with.

Why be butthurt over a game? And over history? And why worry if someone is offended? There are more important things to worry about... Just play it or don't.
Yes, my username is misspelled. How embarrassing do you think that is for me to see it every time I post? Too much karma built up to start over now, though.

Why would their butts be hurt?

Is there an anal probing mini game featured where only the British are victims?

As somebody from the UK, I saw no problems with it. The bad things the British did were highlighted, but then so were the good things. Plus I found Shaun served very well as kind of a mediator for Britain. His cynical views on the revolution were amusing, and it kind of gave the game a more neutral feel.

But to be honest, even if the game did but Britain in a bad light, I wouldn't really care. It was 200 years ago.

That's like asking if the Germans or Japanese hate WW2 games, except this is almost 200 years earlier.

Lolwut? It doesn't portray alot of Americans too flatteringly as well. I'm from Texas, and I'm not offended by the shots they take at Americans. Though Shaun irritates me in a good intended way. Anyway, I seriously doubt more than a couple are offended, and if they are, they should get over it. It's a damn game.

This. History is what it is.
