If they're dead, they wouldn't be releasing the Wii U. :)

Nintendo is just about dead IMO. They'll start making software and stop making consoles if they're smart.

I hope they stay dumb and continue leading the industry.

Wssup guys! I have not owned a console since my PS2, GC and DC.......... what happened to Nintendo? They had some rough times with GC but still pulled through somewhat, what is up with Wii it seems like there are no games coming out in Japan which is not good. Is Nintendo in financial trouble or dying?

Of course not. The Wii made more money than the 360 and PS3 combined. They've said from day one that they aren't trying to be an identical competitor to the others, but to be something different and fresh. Their goal with the Wii was to expand their audience, get non-gamers interested in gaming. And it seems to have worked.

They not in any financial trouble. A report came out a while ago saying how much money they had in the bank, and it was jaw-dropping. I don't remember how much, but I remember people saying they could fail horribly with their next three consoles and still be fine. Nintendo is a money king, they're not going anywhere.

Dead nearly a century before they started and still releasing consoles? Seems legit.
