How come casual gamers don't know the difference between a Wii and a Wii U?

Anyone remember back in the day when everything was a Nintendo? To me that's the definition of "casual"...They know of their existence, but that's as far as their knowledge pertaining to said product goes. Playing a game viewed as "kiddy" is not casual, it's a hobby called gaming. Walking into a store to buy your kid the next Playstation and calling it a Nintendo is casual.

This is true, a lot of people don't know that there is a difference.

Calling the system the Wii U doesn't seem like it was a good idea. People think it's just a tablet controller add on for the original Wii, not a totally new console.
If Platinum was HAND drawn, she'd be on paper, fool. This is a video game. They just made her on screen, no "drawing" involved -Delano7 on BlazBlue
