The console won't recognize HDDs over 2TB.

Eff that. Newegg had a black friday deal on an internal sata 3GB drive for $90, which I missed out on.

Since the WiiU can only use 2TBs total, and has USB 2 ports, buying that hard drive would be a waste of money.

Nintendo have been saying from the start that the WiiU can only read up to 2TB of external storage space. Where have you been?

I've been told numerous times on this board that Nintendo said 3 tb whenever I asked about hdd limits..
