They should have released the Gamepad for the 360. They would have sold a lot more.

Probably, the 360 sold 1.2 million units in November.

How much did the 360 sell its launch week again?

About 350k. Less than the Wii U.
no i tried resetting game i even start violent slamming cartridge on wall but all it does make static noise when i put into DS, the problem not fix! -ReconUnit

I get so tired of repeating this, but:

"Oh, gee, a system that's been out for 7 years, has hundreds of titles in its library and sold for ~$250, sold more than a system that just came out, has a dozen titles in its library, and sold for at least $300? Stop the presses!"

The PS3 also nearly outsold the Wii U in NA alone.

What's that excuse?

What if the Wii U just isn't that in demand? Could that REALLY not be an option?

How about doing something a little more interesting? Instead of comparing apples to oranges, compare apples to apples. Track down the sales for the PS3 and 360 during their launch month and compare those figures to the Wii U.

No need. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are last-gen consoles.

It matters because the TC keeps making topics about how they outsold the Wii U during its launch month, which was a given due to the fact that over half of the month was already gone when it launched, lol.

Except for the fact that it sold more than the Wii U and Wii together... Can't really use that excuse against the Wii, can you?

The Wii had no decent bundles on Black Friday, and sales were cannibalized by the Wii U.

Then I really don't see a problem
I'm pretty sure Wii, PS2, GameCube, and Xbox were outselling the PS3 & Xbox 360 when they first launched

450 000 units in one week, sold out, all units gone, AMAZING

it toke the 360 4 weeks and a cheaper price to sell a little over 900 000 units
big decline from last few years...

You are right newly launch consoles don't be the older ones due to limited supply. Considering the older ones have been in production for longer and tend to be cheaper.

I just don't understand TC's reasoning.

Good idea. (All numbers taken from U.S. launch week plus or minus a couple days of each console)

PS3: 196,672
http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/39047/USA/

360: 305,237
http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/38683/USA/

Wii: 463,466
http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/39047/USA/

DS: 486,391
http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/38319/USA/

PSP: 170,078
http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/38445/USA/

Wii U: 411,850
http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41238/USA/

So, as we can see, number of consoles sold during the launch week means nothing at all. Absolutely nothing.

(Before the inevitable "lol vgchartz" appears, I would challenge anybody to find a more reliable source. That is your job when you challenge data.)
9 days to go, and I'm out of here.
