Some will some will not, the Metro: Last light game is not coming to wii U b/c they said the hardware was too slow. they said they could do it but the work would not be worth it.

Someone has been sleeping under a rock if they're still using that argument.

They downgraded it for the ps2. So there.

And didn't for the Wii, so there.

The three years between 2015-2018 might be rough on the Wii U, but then it's successor will be able to get ports of the latter lifecycle games.

I suspect most the stuff being worked on initially will not push the new consoles very effectively (as early lifecycle games generally don't), and will get ported because it will be much easier without much of a downgrade.

Here. Let me put it into perspective.

This is what CURRENT top of the line graphics look like (The next Xbox/PS will be pushing to this level or past it):

This is what Wii U looks like:

In other words, expect Wii U to get left in the dust just like the Wii did. No one's downgrading their ports. Why? Because its a lot work to make their game look awful.

I think the Wii U is gonna be left in the dust as well, it's the Wii all over again, but those games are using two completely different styles.

Not to mention the low resolution on NSMBU and the Crysis 3 PC screenshot

High end pc screen shot thats not even ingame vs a low resolution blurry screen shot. Nice non bias there.

See, the only reason I respond to these topics is for amusing rebuttal like this where the point whizzes above someone's head.

That most certainly is an in game screenshot good sir. But here's another:

And yeah, your right. The one I gave is pretty low rez. Here's a better one:

My point still stands. It wouldn't matter what screenshot I pull from Mario U or at what resolution - the result will always be the same: current Gen tech looks way better than some of the Wii U's current best and the next set of consoles are going to be pushing to or beyond the level of Crysis 3 (my guess is that there won't be a significant leap).

Anyone else find the second screenshot more impressive?

Its funny that people think they know how this gen is going to play out based on last gen. Things change EVERY generation pretty much. Nothing has been consistent except for Nintendo's hold on the portable market and even then they had a mistep with the virtual boy. 2 gens ago the ps2 was hands down the king of the console market and with the ps3 they're about even with the 360 while the wii, which outsold both claimed by many to be for casuals. This gen theres also going to be the Steambox, and the Ouya if you want to count that. So stop pretending like you all know whats going to happen because you don't.

If you are blind, yeah. Crysis 3 is a good looking game, problem is that those are PC screenshots.

The art direction is pretty horrid in that one screen shot, but the sameness of the sprites in the mario one is pretty weak too.
