But Nintendo is a gaming company they don't worry about watching movies as far as movies go for them that is provided by Netflix.

Technically they are an entertainment company. Streaming is the current standard for watching movies, not dvd/br. Everyone jumps on them for not being the future and then they all get mad when they dont make you pay extra for outdated tech. Cant have it all.
Wow, almost 500, I'm glad to be a part of this. :) You may carry on.
Does your SSB4 roster have Shulk?...No....Then I hate it.

Its all good man. This is what makes my day fly by at work
Listen. I really do not give a damn if the WiiU comes with blueray and dvd playback. I just feel that they took a step in the wrong direction in terms of garnishing more people to buy the WiiU without these and many other extra functions.
The Wii was a absolutely nuke to the gaming industry drawing in the casual crowd and simplifying gaming controls to a level everyone could understand. Wii was a limited system though and it would of been the right step forwards for the WiiU to have dvd/ BR whatever, music playback, photo viewer blah blah blah super simplified so that casual players can kinda go "oh I trust the wii and that new one can play dvds and games and download apps and be used as a photo viewer...etc"
Nintendo kinda stuck a finger up to casual (by accident) and went over many peoples heads and now its suffering by just being a gaming system with netflix and youtube playback.
One time I was drinking these Mickey's Grenades at my friend's house, and we were pounding all this candy that he had leftover from handing out halloween stuff. And I must have eaten like 20 reese's peanut butter cups. So I get trashed, and I feel like I'm about to throw up, so I'm like "dude, I'm gonna go puke I'll be right back." And I went out to his back deck and started puking, but I realized almost immediately that the stuff I was puking up was straight-up reese's peanut butter cups. Like, no nasty stomach bile or anything. just peanut butter cup. It's was delicious.
You have to pay to download Virtual Console games to your Wii U that you already bought for your Wii.*
I can play all my Wii VC/WiiWare downloads on my Wii U without having to pay anything.
What will cost a fee is buying the upgraded Wii U VC version of the games you already have, but that does NOT mean you have to pay to play your old Wii VC versions on the Wii U.
Battery life on the tablet controller is laughably short.
This is actually something i was concerned about BEFORE i bought my Wii U.
This is also generally a "problem" that often gets brought up by people who do not own a Wii, and rarely gets mentioned by people who actually have one.
The reason for this is simple: This is a thing that sounds horrible on paper, but is barely noticeable in practice. The Wii U is not a handheld, the GamePad can be charged during gameplay.
It's unlikely that anyone would play for more then 4 hours outside of the reach of a power outlet.
An update that takes up 5GB of memory is is required to go online, maybe even just to play games. (I may have been misinformed about the actual space usage.)
Wrong in multiple ways actually:
1. The update is only 1GB.
2. The update is not needed to play games, it only adds online functionality. I actually spend the first weekend with my Wii U WITHOUT doing the update (played about 20 hours).
3. There is no connection between the update and having to buy a HDD. The Basic still has enough space for retail game save files, the Deluxe still has enough space for many small or a few big downloads.
No DVD/Blu-Ray/Playback ... at least not without some unauthorized modifications.
But it's true, i and most other people already have multiple devices that play CDs/DVDs/BluRays.
For me, and for all those people, it is a GOOD thing that Nintendo is not wasting money on this stuff.
I hate region lock, most people who are aware of it do.
The only person i regularly see defending it is a known anti-Nintendo troll.
But region locking is part of every mainstream home console in the last 25 years except for the PS3.
So how about unfairly singeling out the Wii U, we praise Sony for doing something right?
Also, i hate to say this, but: People who care about imports ARE a pretty small group. While region coding is generally a bad practice, it's understandable that some/many people just don't care.
This ain't a troll post. I'm not laughing, I'm ticked off and I haven't even bought one!
Yes, it is very noticeable that you don't have a Wii U, otherwise you wouldn't have been so wrong about the VC stuff and the update, or you would know that the battery is ok in practice.
No More Heroes
Lol tc let a couple of rabid fanboys get to him.
Will the PS4 be region locked?????
If it is, the whole region lock point is well... pointless.
If it isn't, well, may be a valid point, even if a minor valid point.
