I wouldn't buy that at all. That's not even 2.5D, that's just screwing about with the camera angles and redrawing some of the sprites so they look 3D. And the camera angles seem really disorienting. Just give me Mega Man 2 Powered Up instead.

Check out Sonic Fan Remix and tell me you wouldn't take this over the recent Sonic games released.

You can find the demo floating around somewhere as well as the unfinished WIP for Chemical Plant.

Um, I would gladly take Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations over a fan remake.

This.

Also Sonic Fan Remix is too graphically busy. It tries way too hard.

Now Sonic Before the Sequel is an excellent fan game with incredibly professional music:

Sonic Fan Remix is too graphically busy, so you'd rather take Sonic Generations, a game that is also too graphically busy? Anyone who tries to tell me that Green Hill Zone and the final boss don't have too much distracting s*** in the background is someone I consider a lying douchebag.

Green Hill Zone graphically is designed much better and much easier on the eyes.
Metroid Zero Mission and Super Metroid are some of the finest 2D games ever made and are the best in the series.
Metroid Fusion is pretty cool I guess.
