Recently, I was e-mailed about a petition regarding where Nintendo gets the minerals they use to make their consoles and games. Apparently, the minerals Nintendo uses come from mines in the Congo run by Slave Labour. According to the petition, villagers are rounded up by armed groups and forced to dig in mines for the minerals that are sold to Nintendo to be made into the games we have enjoyed for years. As a customer of theirs, I must say I'm appalled that the consoles I've got from them over the years have come at the price of human suffering.

This petition was set up with the intention of convincing Nintendo to find a more humane source of their minerals. I signed it recently, and I would like it if anybody here on GameFAQS would be interested in doing it as well. If you are, then here is a link.

I know I myself want a Wii U & 3DS, but I would also like it if my Wii U & 3DS didn't cost innocent people their homes and health.

Every piece of tech you buy has caused human suffering. Watch Blood in the Mobile.

Sure sign you are a nerd: The beginning of AC/DCs "Thunderstruck" always makes you think of Lion-O swinging his sword around.

Also Wikipedia is legit, it cite sources. I can easily pull up a webpage with a quick Google search, and try to present it as fact, and that website might not even cite ****.

I'm aware other companies likely do it too (I had doubts about Microsoft though).
