I've really only ever played Madden when I'm with friends, otherwise it's just really boring for me. And I know how everyone gives Call of Duty a hard time about being the same game over and over again but what does Madden do different every year except for the roster and probably some slightly upgraded graphics.

The people who throw this around have no idea what they're talking about.

One of the largest reasons for the Dreamcast's failure was the Saturn.

No EA games and GTA3 killed the Dreamcast. Madden is vital.

Sega killed the Dreamcast.

Back during the Dreamcast, multiple companies had the NFL license.

I still think no biggie for about three - four years. And after that, no telling what will happen.

Madden will be had on PS3 and 360 for several years to come, without the need of the other unreleased systems. Point being, Madden won't be a true system seller for a while.

hello? we've already got mario football.

soccer isn't football

Only America calls it "soccer" everywhere else it's normally known as "football".

Also I only own Madden '95 for the SNES and that's because my dad used to play it when I was a kid... If they were such huge titles why do they end up like $10 by the end of the year per-owned?

Madden is a big deal, just not as big as it is being made to be.

Most Madden's drop in value because people want the next /most updated game roster.
i also suspect it has to do with online communities.

That being said, for the original xbox the last two maddens go for 20 - 35 bucks still.
The others go for a lot less.

The news about EA does suck. But the gaming market is becoming less stable for all companies right now.

Dreamcast died before anyone even knew how big GTA 3 would be and the 2K series > Madden

Nintendo can't even get Madden anymore? That's pathetic and just shows 3rd parties don't care about Nintendo anymore. People saying "don't care" are just upset because Nintendo has poor 3rd party support.

Or they hate sports. Why would anyone assume gamers care about sports?

I've got an X-Box 360 and a PS3 and have never care about Madden.
