Does the Wii U upscale Wii games like the old PS3 models did for PS2 games?

Yes. They render in 480p, and then the Wii U upscales them to the assigned resolution.

Makes 'em nice & grainy, it does.

Games are still 480p. Doesn't natively render at 1080p. I think it's the TV upscaling it due to hdmi.

I really can't stand playing them on the Wii due to how blurry they are.

Are there any comparison shots around?
