They will announce bankruptcy.

Yeah, they will throw away their billions in the bank and say they have none?

Sony will be committing seppuku in the gaming industry if they do anything very dumb for PS4 (or Orbis), like blocking used games (especially in Japan in where the used video game market is very, very huge there; not to mention that this kind of practice is illegal in Europe).

I hope for Sony's sake it goes well. Losing billions of dollars on the PS3 as well as watching the value of the company plummet the last decade due to poor decisions and lack of innovation does not mean they can afford to lose money again in their video game division.

Nintendo already has their plan. It is beyond frustrating at times to be patient, but they have their software line-up coming to their consoles. Hopefully they will be smart and potentially release a Wii game earlier than anticipated.

Same as when Vita came out, minus Price Cut, but possibly eliminating the Basic Bundle, and more GAMES!!!

It probably won't have much of an effect at all. I mean, really, what can Sony announce that we don't already expect? People already have their expectations sky-high, we already know there's a PS4, the only thing we'd be getting is a few details about it, which will most likely just be confirmation of existing rumors.

I mean, what do you expect to happen? "Oh no! We didn't realize that Sony had a new console coming out! Its mere existence, which has come as a complete surprise to us, will force us to change the way we do business!"

And the same goes for the fans. "Undecided" means "did not buy". The people who didn't want to get a Wii U until they saw the PS4 will still have not gotten a Wii U, and will have now seen the PS4. The only way this could change things for Nintendo is by being disappointing.

I hope they say "We nearly bankrupted us as a company and relied on other branches of the corporation for funding to bring you our most exciting console yet!"

I really don't care how close to bankruptcy a company is as long as they stay afloat to keep my appetite for entertainment filled. It would annoy me far more to be bored while they tell their investors they have billions of I invested capital.

I like how Sony tries to be successful. Although it was a long wait before PS2 and 3 for a lot of people with that $599 US Dollars fail.
