Not trying to start a console war (please don't) I was just wondering if the Wii U was like my ps3 in that it takes forever to start a game once you put it in. (updates and whatnot)

Wii U operating system is the slowest out the current systems.

PS3 is only slow if you did not download any patches and updates before loading the game.
Friends don't let friends be Leaf fans.

It's somewhat slow, minute at the very worst --- but so far you can skip every update play immediately.

It's not "PS3 if the game has an update waiting" bad, but it's still pretty bad. You have to sit there watching a pointless splash screen for no good reason before you even get to the stupid unskippable wall of logos to get to the title screen.

To put it in perspective:

PS3 if the game has an update > Wii U > PS3 if the game doesn't have an update
