If you ignored the 3DS, the Wii U would look to be stable against everything else.

It's getting Mario Kart and 3D Mario by the end of the year. Until those come out the Wii U will keep doing bad, but once they do sells will explode, as they did with the 3DS.

If they don't then we can start getting worried about the Wii U.

NSMBU and Monster Hunter couldn't sell the thing, and Wii U doesn't even have any competition yet! You really think yet another Mario & Mario Kart game will do the trick?

The NSMB games aren't system sellers, and MH only sells well on handhelds (and MH3U isn't out worldwide yet).
On the other hand, Mario Kart is a huge system seller and 3D Mario games, while not as high-selling as the 2D ones, are more likely to move systems. Things could go differently, but I don't think they will.
