I'm not talking about the casual/shovelware/minigame collections.

They have been (with few exceptions) selling poorly on nintendos home consoles, especially in comparison to their competitors, for over a decade now so I'm wondering if that has finally changed so that the wii u can finally get some great third party support.

Still have to give it time. With an install base of roughly 3 million so far you aren't going to see any sort of huge 3rd party sales yet. When there is 10-15 million consoles out there we will have a better idea.

Most third party efforts have been late ports or multiplats of well established 360/PS3 franchises that are sometimes even cheaper on the 360/PS3.
As you can expect, they've sold millions.

Was that the case with the horrible sales of "core" (for lack of a better word) third party games on the wii, gamecube, and n64?
