They will, and then either port it a year later or announce multiplatform before it even releases.

Capcom claims that they are planning on a reboot of the series that takes after Revelations.

No, permanent 3rd party exclusives are becoming a rare breed. The more platforms a game releases on the more $$$ is made. Dev costs are just too high.

They said the same thing when Resident Evil 5 came out. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.

That said, RE definitely needs a reboot right now.

Just for the sake of accuracy, RE4 was exclusive for less than a year. Ever before it was released on the GCN it was already known that it was being ported to the PS2.

And back on topic, there is no reason for Capcom to make a RE game that is exclusive to the Wii U.
