It will be Star Fox.
I gotta say, that looks too legit to be a hoax.

This is the game industry we're talking about, the more legitimate something looks, the more likely it's a hoax.

You're right. Remember those fake Pokemon X and Y screenshots? We wouldn't have known that those were fake if it weren't for the fact that the Japanese words made no sense. Still, maybe this is for real.

Guys, all of those just say they WANT them to make Star Fox. None of them say anything official regarding any employees.
It's a bunch of people saying, it'd be cool if they made Star Fox.

In the nintendo direct from january 23 they said mario kart 8 would be shown at E3, but retro was never mentioned as having anything to do with it. If it was retro's game they would've said so. It's not f-zero because recently miyamoto said he didn't even know people wanted a new f-zero. It's not the 3DS port of donkey kong country returns because that's being out sourced to monster games. It's not zelda because Eiji Aonuma said during the same nintendo direct that his team was working on that. So what does that leave? I can't think of anything else but Star Fox.
Retro said that in 2009 and they started development on this game before e3 2011.
In September 2010, in a recent interview where Sakamoto expressed that he couldnít ďthink of anything regrettableĒ in Other M, he also admitted that Nintendo hasnít begun to approach a decision as to Samusís next adventure and that Team Ninja isnít necessarily guaranteed to be the developing studio for the game:
As far as Iím concerned Iím willing to work with them [Team Ninja] once again if the opportunity comes but, of course, before deciding anything I have to admit I have no idea about what I should do with this Metroid franchise.
Currently Playing: Zelda2, Muramasa
We know that it's a new Metroid Prime.
No we don't.
This topic is so stupid I had to slap my wife.
i theorize it is either metroid or starfox... maybe both.
Its bacon and ketchup, and all new food based 3D platforming game bacon carries around ketchup in a pack on its back and they have to use their abilities to save bacon's sister fried chicken from the evil Mrs Spud
Thank you for taking the time to read this sig.
This sig loves you.
It can't be Metroid. Sakamoto is in charge of it, despite what most recently happened to the series with Other M. It's a shame, because they could easily fix what happened.
It can't be Donkey Kong. Having it announced so close to DKCR3D would be overkill. Plus, I hear Camelot wants to try their hand at a DK game themselves, so I'm guessing Retro's game is a different IP or else they'd probably do it themselves.
It can't be Banjo or Conker. If Nintendo bought the rights to those IPs, we would have heard about it by now. It would be nice though, since Retro is like the new Rare.
So I guess all that's left is Star Fox...
