So the Wii was in the same gen as Gamecube, PS2 and Xbox?

Who the hell cares

Yes. Just like the WiiU is the same as a 360/ps3. We already know this. Is this really a surprise to anyone?

Nintendo likes to release old hardware with a gimmick attached to it.

Wii U is last gen and PS4 is going to be the new Dreamcast/Virtual boy. Vita is a new dust collection system

I think the Wii U is too next gen for a lot of people. Look, if I'm a slow guy and I like bad games, trying to pull me into the future of videogames, such as what nintendo is doing with the wii u, is just going to make me angry. Because slow people who like bad games get angry when they don't understand. Nintendo is kind of like Professor X, and Wii U is like the next step in mutant evolution.

"With the recent PlayStation®4 announcements from Sony, and the wealth of new platforms discussed at CES, Geomerics has now extended runtime support to an ever increasing list of platforms -- everything from latest Windows PC, Mac and Linux machines, to the PlayStation®4, to current generation consoles such as the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PS Vita, to mobile platforms running iOS and Android. They achieved this by keeping the runtime lightweight and optimising it for performance on every platform."

So.....what do you want to discuss?

Nothing, its his job to post negative news here while running damage control on the Vita board.

Thats not how generations work, TC.

Then again, youd know that if you made your own decisions.
And wow, one site said this. Cool? Doesnt change the fact that this isin the 8th generation of consoles. you cant wait six years, make a new console and claim it's in the same generation.

Wii was 7th gen and Wii U is 8th gen, as is Vita and 3DS.
Deal with it dude. Youre getting increasingly desperate.

Because thats a pathetic argument
Metroid Zero Mission and Super Metroid are some of the finest 2D games ever made and are the best in the series.
Metroid Fusion is pretty cool I guess.

Also im pretty sure by current gen they meant "currently active" consoles.

Because Vita is on there. And if Vita is current gen, does that mean the PSP is suddenly 6th gen? No it doesnt work that way.

Technically the Wii U, 3DS, and Vita are all current gen. The Wii, PS3, 360, DS, and PSP are not. That is, unless "current" means "still in production", in which case they all are.
