Best Buy currently sells Lego City Undercover for $50. I have $15 in store credit, meaning I could purchase it for $35.

Is it worth it?

I am pleased with reviews/videos I have watched about the game. I currently have three Wii U games (Nintendoland, NSMB, and MH3U) and am looking to add to my collection.

It looked like a humrous game at the least... And the Lego games have always been pretty fun to play... Why not give it a try?
For those buying EarthBound: Take the survey, and mention that you want EarthBound 0 and Mother 3 in your country! (This also applies to Majora's Mask.)

It's the best Lego game ever made. The only issue I have with it is the long wait during loading screens, especially when starting the game.

Yeah, it is. It's got a lot of content, lots of areas to explore, and it's just a really fun game to play. Definitely worth the full price, so if you can get it for less, go for it. Though maybe even wait for a sale to get more out of your credit. If you've already waited a month, no reason not to wait for a sale.

Can you play the game on the Gamepad? If not, has this feature been discussed as a possibility for future game updates?

IMO:

Found it repetitive. There's a lot of content, but gameplay is basically the same thing over and over.

Some of the humor was actually surprising. Most was what you'd expect.

I'd rent TBH first.
