What platform was the demo video created with?

The demo is running on a PC, but it is compatible with the Wii U. Since CryENGINE supports the Wii U, we do not expect substantial differences between the two versions.

At Precursor Games, we are looking for an opportunity to embark on an adventure of making this game together with our community. If you have any questions for me, please ask away via the Ask Precursor Games thread, or private message me via the forums!

sounds quite suspect.. from the wordings it seems they've never tried doing it on the wii U, they just assume everything will work fine and dandy.. coupled with the previous terms where they said all donations will not be returned and how they're asking an additional 1000$ for skype chat, and how the final tier actually gives you an executive producer title in the credits.. all these just sounds suspect. If you're thinking of donating i advice you to think twice before doing so..

That's unusual, since the demo shows Wii U button prompts...

Denis Dyack

I bet when the game finally comes out in 20 years he's gonna blame Crytek engine 12 for the fact the game sucks. I don't trust that guy at all.

They start with a quote from Edgar Allan Poe and mispell his name in the video. They use Wii button prompts on a PC demo and have no idea about the Wii U version. Nintendo isn't backing them on this. Dyack.

Everything is suspicious about the game.

Yeah, their statement doesn't really make sense. Just because an engine can run on a console doesn't mean that games designed on that engine will run as well or look as good as they will on the PC. Crysis 3 for example is on consoles too, but that doesn't mean that it looks anywhere even remotely close to as good as the PC version.

That being said, I don't see why this should affect whether or not you support them. They never claimed that the demo was running on the Wii U, some of you just assumed it because of the button prompts. And even if the Wii U version does look a lot worse, does it really matter? If bad graphics bother you, then you have no business owning a Wii or Wii U. And even if it does matter to you, you should still support them and then just get the game on PC.

it isnt as simple as just downgrading the graphics though, you cant just click on a button to auto convert everything from PC to consoles.. you can do it for flash, but not without a significant tradeoff. also, it's not just about the demo done with PC, it's everything else as well..

It's no secret the game is being developed on PC and ported to WiiU. It's just easier. Besides, why wouldn't they put their best foot forward by showing a trailer asking for money on modern hardware and not 8 year old tech?

Dennis Dyack and his team are suspect anyways since most of them are responsible for Too Human and Xmen: Destiny which were both terrible and they haven't made anything since to make up for those failures.

The crowd funding isn't exactly taking off. I think it is for the best if this game just never gets made.

I don't see how this makes them any more suspicious. And the executive producer in credits thing for the higher or highest tiers is pretty much standard for most kickstarter projects.

Seriously, you guys are now just looking for pathetic excuses to spread more negativity -__-

Really, even spinning their words?
What they said: "We do not expect any substantial differences."
What you say: "They are f***ing dumb if they think it's just a matter of pressing a button for conversion!"

Seriously... just sad.
