Why me?

Well first off, I'd ditch the youtube app. That thing is crap; the browser is far better for youtube.

But in all seriousness, I've frozen once since the latest update --- when loading Netflix. (Netflix startup sound but black screen which didn't vanish).

My Wii U is usually set up Horizontally on top of the box it came in, sitting out in the open in front of my TV. I know that around launch I had my Wii stacked on top of my Wii U --- which seemed to cause various synching issues with the gamepad and probably worsened connection related freezes. If you can free up the space around your console (specifically electronics / metal), I'd suggest trying that.

All of my freezes have been playing NFS Most Wanted, which freezes fairly often when trying to go to the home menu. It used to be the case that if you went to TV mode before hitting home, it wouldn't freeze, but since the patch it seems this is no longer the case.

At least now you can do a hard shutdown though. - Watch me beat "SNES Aladdin" - My backloggery

My Wii U has frozen about 4 or 5 times, but not once since the update. It has, however, frozen once post update when my brother was playing Fist of the North Star. The character on screen was posing at the time, so it was all good.

My WiiU froze about two times last night.

"nt" means "no text". You don't say "nt" and then say something.

For every 10 hours I played the Wii-U it froze at least once on average. Honestly that is pretty terrible. I sold it so its no longer my problem and is now someone elses.

Froze once on old firmware in January. Haven't had any problems since then.
