I don't understand why Nintendo didn't make a 2D Metroid for DS given how huge the install base was. Why have two Game Boy Advance 2D Metroid titles, but none for the DS?

Fusion sold well over a million in the US alone.

And it is concerning that we haven't heard even a hint about a 3DS or Wii U Metroid. With the success of 3DS, you'd think Nintendo would be comfortable putting a Metroid into development and letting the fans know about it.

It really isn't that troubling, son. Awesome games like "Luigi's mansion," get precedence over mediocre excrement like Metroid.
