Do we have to play games in full screen? Is there no way to stretch it? I know it messes up the proportions but i kind of don't mind...

Might as well find a old tv then, got to get me a tube tv av/rf adapter

There's no way to adjust the aspect ratio in-game. If you have settings on your TV that let you alter the ratio, that's another story, but otherwise, you're stuck with the full-screen ratio.
