....I don't f***ing get it at all. It's like they really think SM3DW and SSB alone are going to make the console sell just like the Wii did. -_-
You're awesome.

This is old, but i'll give you a pass.

As I said in the other topic, we lack information. Why are they turning them away?
To be fair, the overall plot of the MGS series sounds like it was written by a 7 year old on amphetamines.-CrystalKing5426

Considering the news refers to Japanese applications and not ALL applications from Indie developers, I'm going to give a big "who the hell cares" to this news because North America DOES care about indie developers and Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe would have no problem accepting American and European indie applications.

This.

Legal reasons or extensive paper work and red tape could very well just make the whole process not worth it to have Japan based indie developers have a go. And considering its Japan based indie devs only its most likely the reason.
Look at you.... sticking to the plan.

Disappointing to turn away any indie development, but i'm sure there's a reason, be it hentai or some other business thing.

Either way, i'm not too torn up about it.

If I had to throw out a guess I'd say they're doing it to get more western developers. Nintendo (at least they believe) they can deliver enough games with an eastern turn themselves. They want to appeal to western developers so they put all of their indie effort into western made games? Less production of dev tools for what they feel isn't needed in Japan.
