Their competitors pump out more games at a faster rate that are technically superior.

They really have no excuse, especially considering how heavily they rely on the same few franchises.

They were fine in the past. Something is going on at Nintendo, something they don't want us to know. A company just doesn't go into a drought without a reason.

Well, their "excuse" is the fact that they went into the HD era assuming that they had everything under control, only to discover that they had -no- idea whatsoever what they were doing. Thus, it caused their games to suffer. If they had planned ahead and worked on a number of HD tech demos while the Wii was selling, they would have been just fine. Unfortunately, Nintendo is a very stubborn company - the only time they decide that they were wrong to declare something a fad is when their company is crippled by their inability to do it as well as their competitors.

ITT, we're discussing the notion that Nintendo is inefficient. Please stay on-topic. "We're selling now" is not a good counter to the fact that they're finding it harder and harder to keep up in an industry that is becoming increasingly technological and advanced.

...Nintendo has 2 fronts to be worrying about. Sony and Microsoft only have one (Sony has pretty much given up on the Vita...). And if you look at total number of games developed in the last 2 years, Nintendo has put out more. Most of them have been 3DS games, admittedly, but overall, Nintendo actually is more efficient.

Technologically advanced? No. Microsoft tried that with the original Xbox One and got laughed and mocked. The gaming public is too stubborn to accept change.

Given up on the Vita?? Adding Remote Play wouldn't be considered a "given up" model, as well as Borderlands 2 coming to it.

Technological superiority doesn't = good game.

Look at Ryse. It went from hype game to lolliteralAAA-looks like trash (going from what others have posted on the X1 board).

Hell, some games like F5 and KI are being shipped incomplete. Even the X1 is being shipped incomplete.

Plus, most western mainstream games are becoming same-same interactive movies as last gen. Call me crazy but I'll probably won't care if The iDOLM@STER 3, Rune Factory, or the new Tales of game isn't maxing specs for the PS4 because at least they'll be games.

What fronts? Nintendo doesn't even care about Sony or Microsoft. Nintendo is doing its own thing and staying in the black, whilst Sony and Microsoft are fighting it out and losing money. Nintendoomed since 1889.

You watch too much Greg Miller and IGN to believe that Ryse will be trash.
