The pokemon RPG's on Nintendo's handheld systems are system sellers. I don't understand why Nintendo can't make a pokemon RPG on the Wii U.

They did once, for the Gamecube...."Pokemon XD"; didn't do much for the GC did it?

The problem is, that portable games are perceived completely different than home console games; the pokemon formula simply doesn't work on a home-console......

If they would bring Pokemon X 1:1 on the WiiU, nobody would even consider it a great game; just a game that would be great on the 3DS....
When I want realistic graphics, I take a break from gaming and look at reality......

They CAN make one on Wii U, but the creator of Pokemon doesn't want to because it doesn't fit with his philosophy of how Pokemon should be played. So they won't.

Anyhow, the man is incredibly talented and his instincts must be right or Pokemon wouldn't have become the juggernaut it is. Nintendo should do whatever he says. Pokemon is his baby, it's his call.

I just watched some videos of it. That does not look like a full pokemon rpg. It doesn't look like it plays like a regular pokemon adventure at all.

It kind of does, you go around defeating shadow pokemon, and trainers, and catch the enemy's pokemon.

Apart from that last one, it is much like a pokemon game, it just has story, and a lot of it.

Looks like Pokemon Coloseseum to me, with the addition of lots of text to read.

They're crazy for not making a Pokemon MMO. I'm not really into MMO's, I'm not really into Pokemon either (because I'm an adult and Pokemon was hip 13 years ago), but gosh even I'd be excited if they did that.

Some concepts are just so well suited to being MMO's.
