Final Fantasy is a brand now. I'm surprised people actually think XV will be good.

I am sure it will be good.

But it looks just like a pure action game.
Wii U+Xbox One :)

Final Fantasy Has been a brand for 20 years. It started when Final Fantasy II came out.

yeah to me Mistwalker's games are the true FF successors. Hironobu Sakaguchi keeps the FF style alive and honestly his games just feel like they're truly the correct entries in the FF series in place of FF11-12-13series-14-15 etc.

FF13 felt like some glammed up J-pop anime kaleidoscope filled with make-up and salon styled hair and elaborate J-popstar costumes. to me, as a fan of FF1-10, only FF10 was anything like that. otherwise it was more about a mystical more simple fantasy style and nobody looked like a twilight vampire or popstar from Japan.

Agreed all the way. Sakaguchi+Uematsu are the perfect team to make a stellar RPG. As we've seen since FF l-X. All of Squaresoft's talent now resides in Mistwalker.
Currently playing:
Pokemon X, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix

Lost Odyssey was the last JRPG I actually cared about. I can't recommend that enough. "Final Fantasy" as a label has been tarnished and has lost its luster.

Lost Odyssey was the game that sold me on 360. It was also one of my favorite games from last gen. It easily passes for a proper Final Fantasy and the short stories have everything I love about Hironobu Sakaguchi in them.

Monolith too, since they have a lot of the people who originally worked on Chrono Trigger, Xenogears, Chrono Cross, and FF6.
