Yep. A few great games now, plenty of good ones..

However, if you're the sort who can't wait and requires five or ten must-owns for a purchase, mid to late 2014 is your best bet.

If you're only going to get one system, I think the Wii U is the better purchase in the short term, but the PS4 is the better purchase in the long term.

Long-term predictions are hard to follow these days. After seeing the massive turnaround that both the 3DS and PS3 got, I don't like long-term predictions. We'll just have to wait and see.

It's more about Nintendo's mismanagement and the hardware. Nintendo's not going to change, and the hardware isn't either. Both cases aren't going to attract the third parties. As I said, the PS4 is the better choice for the long term.
I think the launch of other video game systems is also good for us - Iwata of Nintendo

I want a Wii U, but I only want like 2-3 games right now and maybe 4-5 in the future so far of what has been announced.

I also want a few Wii games I missed out on.

so I'd be buying it for a few games and then virtual console.

Best Buy has:

$299 + $25 Gift card + they have Buy 1 get 1 50% off for certain Wii U games.

NSMBU+NSLU Bundle + SM3DWorld + WWHD for under $400
