Never played the Gamecube version so the HD version was the first time playing the game, awesome game and easily top 5 Zelda games. How are the NDS sequels? Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks?

Only PH is a direct sequel, SS takes place hundreds of years after.

…They are either love 'em or hate 'em. Not everyone enjoyed the fact that both controlled solely with the touch screen. However both have good plots and gameplay. PH also has some jokes aimed at WW.

I say try them, but that's me. I haven't met a Zelda I didn't like.
To be fair, the overall plot of the MGS series sounds like it was written by a 7 year old on amphetamines.-CrystalKing5426

Actually Spirit Tracks takes place exactly 100 years after. Niko is still alive.

*smacks forehead* That's right. Argh. It's been too long since I last played.

I'm 3/4 through Phantom right now so looks like i'll be moving along when I wrap things up.

I enjoyed Spirit Tracks more than Phantom Hourglass. PH wasn't bad at all though and I enjoyed the idea of a central dungeon.

I also enjoyed ST a lot more than PH as well.

I'm not really a fan of the "direct" sequels.

We don't talk about those. First rule of Zelda club.

I dunno, the OoX games and LA were fantastic and among my favorites in terms of Zelda titles and they were marketed as direct sequels.

The only mainline Zelda I don't really care for is Majora's Mask. I hate the timed aspect of the game.
