Yeah, the character designs are a little weird. Everyone except Adam looks like some sort of realistic/cartoon hybrid, and the animations didn't help.

Boss fights never bothered me though. Don't get me wrong, I love that they improved them and incorporated stealth into the mix, but in the vanilla version I killed every boss in a second or two by throwing two or three mines at them. And that was on my stealth/no-kill run.

Can't wait to play this game again.

Oh, how many discs is this version, and how stable is the frame rate?

I'm a living contradiction. I own a PS3 and a Wii U. A 3DS and a Vita. And the catch to that? I enjoy them all!

I own both the ps3 and Wii u version, the Wii u version is sharper, better lighting, removes the filter, and the gamepad functionality is implemented very well. I got the Wii u version for $20 because I wouldn't pay more than that for a game I already own.

The reworked boss fights are the biggest improvement. Now you can hack/stealth to progress.

My biggest surprise was that it's noticbly better looking than the ps3 version, there are more particle effecs and textures seem better. I don't know if the resolution is higher, its probably still 720p though.

it has to be 1080p, or close. Source is my 51" 1080p plasma, and looking at text. 720p games are obvious by the way text is displayed, even if they are upscaled.

I didn't even upgrade my copy on Steam. I like the game a lot, but the extras in the director's cut just didn't interest me.
I think the launch of other video game systems is also good for us - Iwata of Nintendo
the playstation 2 sure helped dreamcast - magemaximus

I will eventually get the Wii U version of the game, I heard it is actually the best one of the bunch and has a few tricks up its sleeve graphically that neither the PS3 or 360 could pull off. I'll be waiting for a price drop on it though, I won't be paying 50 when the others can be had for 30.

I really feel like I should have purchased this instead of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Eh, oh well. I plan on buying it soon. It's probably the only Wii U game left that I need to purchase before Mario Kart 8 is released. Maybe this week. I've never once seen a copy of this game in a store. So amazon might be the only buying option.

I heard the resolution was bumped, and it feels like it. I doubt 720p, maybe 800p
