I would spend all the company's money to create a single game. I wouldn't even give it any marketing. I wouldn't even print a lot of copies of it. I would have a copy for me and a few spare ones so that I'm the only one that can enjoy the greatest game in the world.

I'd make a smaller, but high-quality title because I see value in the gamepad.

It'd be a more niche game, a computer-style RPG similar to a more cinematic version of Baldur's Gate. Fights would be a lot more lively, played out on the television screen while the gamepad would allow for strategic positioning and precise control.

If there's one thing that I absolutely hate about modern "WRPGs" its how party management has changed. I loved how the Infinity Engine games gave me full control. I could pause the game, issue commands, and they would do what I wanted. That's gone now and I feel a lot of combat depth is missing now. I'd love to see it back.

If I was CEO, I'd forsake my bonus for a couple of years too in order to make it happen since it'd be my dream game.

It boils down to what kind of games i make. If i make games that are better sold at other consoles, i own't bother with the wii u.

No because it's notoriously difficult to develop for and there's no money in it.

Yes, even maybe if i was an Indie developer i'll try to make a decent game for the WiiU, or even sell an idea/game's IP for a proper WiiU game (i have a couple ones that would work good for the tablet controller)

If I owned the developer/publisher in question, then my answer is 'Hell, No!'

If I just worked there and didn't give a f***, than obviously 'Yes, why not?'

The problem with 3rd party supporting the Wii U is profitability. If there is money to be made in that platform, people don't know how and where, because no 3rd party has been able to do it.

Even Ubisoft, which created their best-selling games ever on the Wii (Just Dance series), has failed every attempt on the Wii U.

Look at the sales of Just Dance 2014 on the Wii ( ) and on Wii U ( ) and you might come to same conclusion I did:

The casual gamers that made the Wii a success either moved to smartphones and tablets or are still on the Wii, but they haven't moved on to the Wii U at all. The hardcore gamers that hated the Wii did not buy the Wii U either.

Right now, the majority of Wii U owners are the people that buy Nintendo platforms exclusively for Nintendo 1st party games.

They criticize every 3rd party game that has a feature missing on the Wii U, but they do not buy those that that didn't cut any features.

Many critics said Deus EX: HR for the Wii U is possibly the best version of the game out there. Did it sell? Did any of the Nintendo fanboys on this board buy it? I guess not, because it tanked hard and sales didn't reach 6 figures!! It actually sold less than 50.000 copies.

So, my point is... if you only buy 1st party games, I don't have the right to complain about the lack of 3rd party support.
